The pattern was designed for your favorite exterior materials such as waterproof canvas, bonded nylon, waxed canvas, or canvas! Also consider quilting cotton or light denim to keep it domestic sewing machine friendly! If you want to adapt it to cork, vinyl, or faux leather you will want to change up the interfacing and stabilizers to suit your chosen materials and may require an industrial sewing machine for the final construction.
The Andy Backpack comes in one size, ideal for keeping you organized while getting an education or travelling for work! The Main Section contains the giant slip pocket with magnetic flap to hold your laptop comfortably, or safely keep your papers. The Front Section features a zipper pocket, glasses pocket, and optional key leash, all of which are optional and the perfect type of pockets to add to other bags! The Front Pocket then features a zipper mesh pocket. The back has padded straps that are reinforced, and the sides feature unique water bottle pockets that prevents condensation from collecting. Cover the zipper or leave it visible and show it off, as the zip cover is optional!
The interior finishes with binding on the final two seams, keeping the lining snug against the body of the bag. There are three tutorials available on the UhOh Creations YouTube channel to help you through the three types of suggested bindings.
Finished size: 12-1/2” (32 cm) wide, 17” (43 cm) tall, and 9” (23 cm) deep
