I chose to feature the Purr-fect Patchwork Tote because I love bag making and this one features the cutest little cat peeking out of a pocket. Grab a pair of old denim jeans and letās get sewing - itās the purr-fect recycling project. Ā Thanks to some very special people in my life, Ā Jocelyn & Stan, for donating a used pair of jeans for this projectĀ
The pattern book calls for felt pieces which add beautiful texture to the project but I couldnāt resist using some purple sparkle vinyl for my cat/katz personality. Ā
I love the shape and structure of this bag. Ā The foundation is ByAnnieās Soft and Stable. Ā This was a quick project with many opportunities to personalize it. Ā Clear instructions and lots of pictures make it easy to follow and this is a great āfirst bagā. Ā
Ā The bag calls for a magnet and zipper and I always use bag hardware from Emmaline Bags because of its quality and beautiful appearance. Ā This picture showcases their iridescent zippers and pulls - my favorite. Ā Ā
There are so many fabulous projects in this book. My friend Wendy and I made the Stabby Tabby pincushion at retreat from recycled jars and I just had to make the Hiss and Makeup Bag for my little wonder clips.Ā
